Modules for those training for ordained ministry in the Anglican Church of Bermuda who are being received from another Christian denomination not in communion with ACofB.

To study theology is to open ourselves up to God, to allow ourselves, our lives and our characters, to be shaped by the nature and purpose of God. We do this in the company of Christians of all times and places, who have embarked on the adventure of faith. So the study of theology is a spiritual discipline, but is undertaken not just for our own benefit but also so that we can become part of God’s loving action for the world. If we are to be people sent by the God of mission, we need to be deeply rooted in scripture and tradition, we need to have thought through and prayed through our understanding and experience of God. Our society needs good theologians more than it ever has before.

This Church History Module contains elements from Church history with which you may not be familiar from your previous training.

Your Course Director will select with you the appropriate sessions, but the whole module is available to you should you wish to refresh yourself on any given element.

If you would like to study more deeply in certain areas, speak with your Course Director who may be able to add more resources to this module for you.

This short module will add to your previous theological training those elements of Ecclesiology which specifically relate to the Anglican understandings of the Church.

This module should be used in conjunction with the Compass Core module which address the wider Anglican Communion and the Anglican way.
